In memory of Emma

Array

Emma, a college classmate of mine and fellow devoted photographer, passed in late December 2008. While I was not close friends with Emma, I am stunned and incredibly saddened by the early loss of a charismatic, intelligent, and passionate artist, with whom I shared darkrooms for 2 years. While my best wishes go out to all whom she has touched, I’d like to point out an essay Emma wrote, about the difficulty of mediation and the necessity of love and art.
