Saori’s Birthday at the Dublin Fringe

John Moran’s lip-syncing dance operetta, Saori’s Birthday, which was originally created at Performance Space 122 in New York, was remounted at this year’s Dublin Fringe Festival, September 8-13. Due to the unusual complexity of the cuing, my lighting design proved to be very difficult to re-create, especially with me in Chicago. After I created extremely in-depth paperwork, the rig was reproduced in Ireland, and John called the show from my notes. The show went off without a hitch.
